A centenary concert, Centenary Focus, featuring music by Alan Bush and the American composer
Aaron Copland (both born 1900), took place at the Purcell Room, London on 3rd April 2000.
The artists were Adam Summerhayes (violin), Joseph Spooner (cello) and Catherine Summerhayes (piano).
The programme included three works by Alan Bush:
Concert Piece for Cello and Piano (Opus 17) (1936).
Lyric Interlude for Violin Solo with Piano Accompaniment (Opus 26) (1944).
Three Concert Studies for Piano, Violin and Cello (Opus 31) (1947).
The concert received excellent reviews including one from Geoff Brown in the Times on 5th April 2000.
