Current and Future Projects of the Trust

Funding two annual prizes for students of the Royal Academy of Music – the Alan Bush Composition Prize (£500) and the Frank and Hilda Stokes and Marjorie Meyer Memorial Prize for Sightreading (£100).

Producing an annual Newsletter ("Clarion") for Supporters of the Trust.

Providing funds for Concerts, CDs of Alan Bush's music and books about Alan Bush.

Maintaining a website, which is regularly updated, providing information about the Trust and its activities and the life and works of Alan Bush.

Maintaining an archive of printed, manuscript and audio materials at Histon.

Providing information to inquirers wishing to know more about Bush and his compositions.

Providing copies of unpublished scores of Bush's compositions to performers.

Establishing links with music organisations and individuals to promote increased awareness of and performance of Bush's music.

Collating Bush's massive correspondence, now deposited at the British Library.

Sending information by e-mail about Concerts and CDs of Bush's music as well as new material on the website to supporters who have registered an e-mail address with the Trust.

Other projects are in the pipeline and will come to fruition with the financial help of our present and future supporters. As a small, fairly new, charity our funds are limited. Your financial support will enable the Trust to continue and widen the scope of its work in order to promote greater public awareness of and appreciation of the music of Alan Bush.

Giving Financial Support to the Alan Bush Music Trust

The Alan Bush Music Trust depends, for its activities, upon the generosity of numerous supporters.

You can support the activities of the Trust by making a Donation, preferably by way of Standing Order coupled with a Gift Aid Declaration so the Trust can obtain additional income from the Inland Revenue and you can claim tax relief.
