We are very pleased to announce that Alan Bush's Scherzo for Wind Orchestra with Percussion, Op. 68 (1969) will be performed on Friday 4th November 2005 at 7.30 p.m. by the Royal Northern College of Music Wind Orchestra, conducted by James Gourlay, as part of the Royal Northern College of Music International Wind Festival which takes place from 4th to 6th November 2005.

The Concert takes place in the Hayden Freeman Concert Hall at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester.

The Scherzo is included in a CD released this year by the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra conducted by Douglas Bostock; OE The Best of British Volume 2. The CD includes music by other British composers.
