The 2008 Frank Stokes and Marjorie Meyer Sightreading Prize, funded by the Alan Bush Music Trust, has been awarded to Peter Wilkinson. Peter is a most interesting musician who joined the Royal Academy of Music's Postgraduate progamme in September 2007. His main area of study is piano accompaniment, though he is also interested in other instruments, for example, violin, alto saxophone, church organ, classical guitar and voice. He also has a keen interest in composition and musical theory.
