Dr. Mikhail Mishchenko, Associate Professor, St Petersburg Conservatoire, is organising a further enterprising programme of music by 20th Century British composers for organ and viola in Vitebsk in Belarus on 7 April 2013, with the same programme repeated on 20 April 2013.
The concert will be performed by Boris Barinov (viola) and Mikhail Mishchenko (organ). In Part 1 of the concert, Mikhail Mishchenko performs Edward Elgar's Sonata in G followed by Alan Bush's Two Occasional Pieces for Organ, Op. 56 and Three English Song-Preludes, Op. 40.
In Part 2 of the concert Mikhail Mishchenko includes works by Paul Spicer, Gustav Holst, Ralph Vaughan Williams, York Bowen, Gordon Jacob and Elgar.
Dr. Mikhail Mishchenko is also performing works by Alan Bush at the following concerts May.
